Our Story
While the look has changed with the times, the legacy remains the same. For many years, there was no such thing as a neighborhood pub in BC. Most establishments were known as beer parlours and were often tied to hotels. Finally, in the early seventies the rules changed and gave rise to the pub as we know it today.
The Copper Mug was actually the second pub opened in the entire province! It was founded on the idea that anyone should be able to come in and be accepted for who they are. Just like the symbol of the Copper Mug, we represent simplicity, honesty, and tradition.
Since then, these walls have held many stories and we appreciate the patronage of all our loyal friends - it's you that's made us what we are today! We welcome all new folks and hope you find this place as comfortable as home.
